WELCOME TO THE UPPER MERION SENIOR SERVICE CENTER
Punxsutawney Phil predicted 6 more weeks of winter for us. I suspect we are all hoping he is wrong. This winter snow and cold temperatures have lasted much longer than I remember. ( Except for when I lived in Canada).
I think those attending the Valentine Hoagie Social enjoyed the great food, especially all the dessert choices. Thank you to all who volunteered to help with the event and did some baking.
March has many activities scheduled. Our General Meeting is March 11th with lunch for those in attendance. March 14th is a Health Fair, March 21st our Spring Craft Fair and Bake Sale and Big Bingo is March 29th. Make sure to mark your calendar to attend. We also need volunteers to help with all these special events. If you are a baker, think about making something for the bake sale.
The Board is always open to new ideas to enhance our programs. Feel free to use the suggestion box or speak to one of us. Although there are often ideas we would like to initiate, unfortunately it is not aways possible. In addition, we need member help to organize and take responsibility for new activities.
Just my annual reminder: Have you renewed your membership for 2026? If you have already, thank you for continuing your participation in the Center. If it slipped your mind, please see anyone in the office or Beth would love to help you renew. Think about bringing in a new member. Don’t let your friends or family stay home on the couch watching TV. There is more to life!
As always, I hope to see you around the Center, enjoying our activities and each other.
Hope to see you around the Center.
Sharon Brzoska, President
