Welcome
WELCOME TO THE UPPER MERION SENIOR SERVICE CENTER
With the new year making its entrance, let us take time to reflect on the many experiences we enjoyed in 2024. New friends and new adventures along with continuing to enjoy our time with families and friends. I hope you will include spending more time at the Center, enjoying our activities and becoming involved.
As your president, I would like to thank the new and returning Board members for volunteering their time, expertise and for their commitment to the Senior Center and our mission. Without volunteers, we would not be able to organize our special events, programs, and activities. Think about volunteering this year.
We are planning many activities, trips, and special presentations for 2025. Members of the Board have created a master plan for the entire coming year. Watch for updates in the coming newsletters.
Last month we added an open game room on Wednesdays from 1 to 3. In addition, this month and going forward, both Wednesdays and Thursdays will be open for anyone wanting to use the room. You are invited to use any of our rooms when they are not otherwise scheduled.
On January 10th at 10:30 we will once again have a Coffee with the Board. This is your opportunity to interact with the Board, ask questions, make suggestions and let us know how we can improve our services to the membership. Join us.
November 1st began the membership drive for 2025. You can renew your membership now. Please see any member of the office staff. Our fee remains $25 annually and anyone 50 or over is eligible to join. We have many activities and special events for the enjoyment of our members. Think about inviting your friends to come in with you and try an activity.
May the new year bring you peace, joy, and happiness.
Looking forward to seeing you at the Center in 2025.
Sharon Brzoska, President
